Communify communify-1252.firebaseapp.com

Communify is my capstone project for the Full Stack Web Development course at Galvanize. Over the course of three weeks, I owned the entire development life cycle - conceptualized the product, assembled mockups, designed the front-end, developed the back-end, wired them together, integrated APIs, and leveraged multiple technologies - to deliver this full stack application. It is a social media platform that unites communities in action to advocate and expand social justice. Users can create, find, and RSVP to events in their community, and connect with other users that share similar areas of interest. Upon successful completion and presentation of this application, I graduated from the Full Stack Web Development course. Technical notes: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular.js, Angular Material, Express.js, PostgreSQL, Waterline, Zip Code API

Poverty Tracker poverty-tracker.firebaseapp.com

This application uses the Census Bureau API to pull state-specific data on poverty counts and rates. The focus is on the disparity between overall poverty rates and childhood poverty rates, as it highlights the disproportionate burden of poverty on children. Technical notes: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, U.S. Census Bureau API

DreamStream dreamstream.firebaseapp.com

DreamStream is an application built for dreamers. As a user, you can quickly and easily record your dreams by text or voice and save them to your Dream Stream, which displays all of your recorded dreams over time. From there, you can view a word cloud of your dreams, which gives you a visual representation of recurring thoughts, words, and ideas. As an added bonus, IBM Watson analyzes your Dream Stream and returns a personality insight into your subconscious. This is a group project developed with Galvanize classmates. Technical notes: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular.js, D3.js, Express.js, Cordova, Ionic, IBM Watson Personality Insights API
